Creative Recycled Lighting.... A Plastic Chandelier

As seen in my favorite holiday haunt, the Bachman's Idea House in Minneapolis, I absolutely loved this lighting treatment in the 'kids' room.
  1. First a wire form is fitted over the low-watt light bulb. This form is a white coated metal in a circular shape. (I think some colorful blue tissue paper is tucked in around the form for color)
  2. Next plastic beverage bottles are cut in a spiral and colored.
  3. Hung from the wire form, the recycled plastic spirals make a really unique and effective lighting treatment!
You'd think it's a blown-glass chandelier by Chihuly.

What a great way for kids to lend a hand in decorating their rooms!
