It's such a bittersweet time of year - I miss my girls around the house but relish by creative time alone. I think we're all going through an adjustment time. One of our favorite past times we were able to squeak in this summer was making our way to the Ozaukee County Fair at the end of July. It's a small taste of old fashion fun with animals, activities, fair food and rides. I'm including some of my favorite photos.
How can you resist that face!

My daughter's favorite bunny (out of the hundreds we looked at).
This is by far my favorite chicken. I love the graphic stripes and bold colors. So pretty! I would love to paint a rooster like this - add it to my list.
My youngest won a blue ribbon for her island painting and $1.75 in prize money! So proud. (Maybe she'll take after mama).
